I was going for a tone on tone look...I didn't want the usual Christmas colors so I went for something that was lion-like. The So Saffron paper has pearl ex in hairspray spritzed on it...it has a subtle speckly shimmer that you can see if you look closely. I used the watercolor crayons for this and used the white gel pen to highlight. You do not need a white watercolor crayon, because the gel pen SU! carries does a much better job! You can wash it with the aquapainter just like a crayon, but use it for finely detailed highlights straight out of the pen as well.

Jan, I may as well just check your gallery before I decide what to do for my Christmas card. Last year I cased your card and this year, I just ordered this set an I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your card that is above. TFS!!! I don't know if I can watercolor as well as you, so that might be my only hangup...Gee...maybe that means I should fly out and have you teach me a class on watercoloring. *wink* That'd be one way to meetcha!

This card is absolutely gorgeous! You did such a professional-looking job on it! Great job on the watercoloring, especially the highlights!
