I computer-printed the sentiment first, then scored a double frame. I stamped the little heart from the Yummy set in red to add to the sentiment. I masked off the frame and sentiment and sponged the sky/clouds in minty colours of sea breeze and aloe vera chalk ink. Then I stamped and embossed the heart from Polka Dot Punches in white on brown card and cut it out, and added a little balloon end at the bottom.
I tied some red embroidery thread round the heart balloon and rubbed some clear glue on it to make it stick to the card. I stuck the end onto the stamped heart with a self-adhesive brown pearl. I stuck on the heart balloon with 3D dots.
I found a poem by chance called 'My heart soars' and it was so appropriate for the card and for my hubby that I printed it out on the insert. I've copied it here in case you'd like to read it:
"My heart soars
for you have touched something deep inside
that reaches down to my soul.
You have become my smile
a permanent fixture on my face.
You have drawn me out of the darkness
and become the rainbow in my sky.
Your smile melts the snow
and your voice drys the tears.
Gentle are your words that embrace me
and hold me so strong and tight.
Forever I will be safe in your love
as you in mine...
and my heart soars."
