I used to grow gourds. After the drying process, you have to scrub off the mold and outer layer of skin. Then I painted it with acrylic paint, and stamped with Watercolor Garden. Have a wet cloth nearly to "erase" any mistakes caused by stamping on a curved surface. You can easily make them into birdhouses, etc.
