This is for our special friend Kathleen Lammie who is now home after having a double lung transplant. I have heard from her and I know she is doing well..obviously there's a period of recovery. One thing she said a couple of weeks ago that stuck with me was..the oxygen guy was just here picking up all his equipment...can you imagine how that must have felt..what a milestone! This is such a happy, happy reason for a Teaparty...hope you can join in!!
This is a new stamp I picked up at a recent stamp show. I colored her face and hair with copics and then sponged the rest with distress inks. I then added more highlights with colored pencils and a white gel pen. I also added a bit of Wink of Stella for fun. The word celebrate was part of the MME paper and I designed my card so you could read that. Oh and the balloons are from a stamp set that Lisa sent me on the first tickle I participated in. Thank you Shoe Girl ;)

Polly, this is AMAZING!! So uplifting and fun and beautiful. I have not been up on Kathleen's news. That is a huge surgery but it sounds like she's recuperating so well. Time for me to send her a nice card as well. I know she will LOVE this one.

Polly, thanks for the update on Kathleen. I have a friend who had a double lung transplant, and I have always called him, "Miracle Boy!" Kathleen will be in my prayers during her recovery and so glad she has had her chance to be a miracle too. Polly, you must have the most amazing stamp collection. I love this new you and how you used it on this card.
