I attend a paper flower club once a month, after we make our flower we have the month to use it on a project. I have class next week and today used the Inspiration Challenge to help me with my color selection for this canvas. I chose a great floral canvas to pick all the supporting colors to work with my Camellia. http://www.greatbigcanvas.com/view/s...JdWz3r2vVCXjmW
I wanted to use my antique gold gilder's paste but needed a heavier antique gold edge on the blue, so I pulled out my Distress paint Antique brass dauber it was perfect for the paper elements. The flowers are edged wtih gilder's paste. I felt it needed more whimsical details, thus the doodles, rhinestone and beaded pin.
I really enjoy making all types of paper flowers. I feel like I will NEVER run out of flowers anymore because I no longer need to buy them, I make them. I have acquired an extensive die collection of flowers. All types, all sizes. Susan's Garden are my favorites and those are the dies used in my monthly club. If you've never made your own flowers, think of it this way, once you own a few dies, and a floral tool kit, you are set. You use the paper you have on hand and saves tons of money over time
Thank you for looking! This was a perfect challenge for me!

Oh, my gosh, your camellia is GORGEOUS!! I have a few of the mini flowers but rarely the patience to put them together ;) what a terrific idea to have a monthly class!
The rest if your card is just as fabulous! Beautiful attention to detail and great design!
