I actually made a card using dies! The most fun of KSS stamps is coming up with a recipe using inks you have on hand. To stamp this one, I started with Antique Linen distress, then Adirondack Sandal, Memento Morrocco, Memento Cranberry and finally Memento Rich Cocoa. At this point I restamped steps 4 and 5 for intensity. I'm always amazed at how the colors interact when using odd colors to darken the image. I did spritz water each time before stamping for richer color. The leaves were done with Bamboo Memento, Northern Pine Memento and finally Imperial purple Versafine. Thanks for looking.

And therein lies the rub...One has to have the color sense that you do, Nancy, to pick the perfect ink colors to come up with a beautiful image like this!! : ) This is gorgeous and I like ho9w you left all the white ground...just adding pretty die cut framing. A sensational card!!

You???? DIES???? You are kidding us - this has to be a first for you to use MAINLY dies on a card! The coloring you achieved using so many ink colors is AMAZING! looks so realistic, and has such depth! No wonder you love the KSS stamps. Of course, the dies really set a perfect stage for your poinsettia - they are EXQUISITE! What a fantastic card, Nancy - good to see you back!!!

What a great day... 2 Nancy stamps to admire. If I combined all those colors I would end up with a lovely shade of mud. Your flower is so pretty that the white die cut background is a perfect frame.

Wow ... your poinsettia and leaves have such depth of colour ... truly beautiful. And so interesting to see what colours you used to add that depth. Purple on the leaves with green ... who knew?? Obviously you did! Looks amazing! xx

WOW! Nancy, you have such an amazing ability to combine colors and end up with something beautiful! I generally end up with some akin to mud when I mix more than 2 colors. The flower and leaves are stunning against the white on white die cuts.

OK what? The poinsettia is bouncing off the page! All the inks did, indeed, add some marvelous richness to this spectacular Christmas creation, Nancy! Now go ahead and make 20 more and send me 10.

That's amazing, Nancy! I'm still reeling over the fact that you made your own ink several months ago. And if you're going to use a die cut, Spellbinders Marvelous Squares is the one to reach for. What a gorgeous frame for this outstanding piece of art. And since you're going to send Angela 10, can you spare 5 for me (she winks). Another top notch card my friend.

Wow! How gorgeous. I love the layered diecuts. I'm speechless and so impressed with the way you created this beautiful image. To think all those colours could end up with this beautiful result - I know it wouldn't look like this if I tried it. Stunning job.
