These fun birds from Tim Holtz were a bit bigger than I anticipated so I resized them by stamping and scanning. They are colored with copics and enhanced with pencils. Pan Pastels were used to ground them. The panels behind the main image were created with glossy and the wrinkle free distress technique. I had forgotten to add glossy accents to their eyes but will go back and do that. A few stitches were added. Thanks for stopping by.

Could not help giggling at the clueless looks on the birds here!! Like, "Whaddaya talkin' about?" Your shading is impeccable - shadows in all the right places. Are the pan pastels like the ones SU used to sell? I never thought to use them for 'grounding' but it looks perfect when you do it - that and your great stitching!! Awesome funny card!!!

This looks deceptively simple, a whole that is much more than the sum of its parts (and its parts are done soooo skillfully, too). Into the favorites file for inspiration!

Super CUTE Crazy Birds card, Nancy! I like the way you positioned them as though they are talking. Nice coloring, distress, layers of papers, and I like your hand stitches. I was glad to see when I got them, that they were facing three directions (right, left, front.) Lots more potential that way. Smart to resize them to better fit your A2 design. I knew they were gonna to be kinda big but when I got them, they were a little bigger than I anticipated. Looking forward to seeing what else you do with these fun stamps! Thanks for letting me know you posted. xx

Terrific and FUN b'day card, Nancy. Love your birds and the expressions on their faces. Your rich palette of colors adds so much to every card that you create.

Oh, my gosh, I laughed out loud! I wondered what your first project with these would be! This is fabulous and so fun! Your coloring is fantastic, as always. I love both the panels behind and the background paper. Your signature stitching huts takes it over the top!

Oh my goodness I love this card. I love the stitching, I love the coloring, I love that you resized the image to get it to fit your card rather than using them the size they came. Super card!
Love, love your stitching and patterned paper. Those birds are just too cute! Love the coloring and that great sentiment! The glossy effects will be great detail! Thank you!

Wow, wow, wow how FANTASTIC is this!!!!Nancy this is so terrific, I have never seen those fun birds. Your colouring is always incredible and nothing compares to the design layout of your cards. From your unique backgrounds to your signature stitching, this is so, so special my friend. I am disappointed that you used Pan Pastels.....I was hoping NOT to like them.....ohhh now I have to go shopping.....
