I made a second project for the MIX99: Holiday Selfie? Challenge in the Mix-Ability forum.
I've not yet started the journal craze, but when I chose this as the challenge I thought it would be perfect for a journal page. I think I will be gluing this into my blank journal.
I created a monoprint page and let it dry before continuing with the girls head, my selfie in paint. I used the template included in the Blossom Beauty Stamp Set to sponge white gesso onto the page. I let the dry and did a layer of Blush colored paint. Then I used the mask portion of the template to do the eyes in gesso. Once it was all good and dry I stamped the face onto the page usng a stamp positioner. I embossed the jumbo snowflakes around the image and then painted swirls in white and pale blue. Did some journal words and then stamped Winter snow in pale blue paint in some places, then embossing in white in some places. I used the sentiment and asterisk from Journal Lines to finish the page.
Some organized instructions are on my Rain Puddles Design blog HERE..
Hope you join in on the Holiday Selfie Challenge with us.

This is fabulous. What caught my eye first about your journal page are the beautiful snowflakes. Especially the lacy one between her cheek and the sentiment. Maybe this next year will be the year we do more journaling.
