Made this one for Color Challenge 98 which was to use Night of Navy, Bravo Burgundy, and Brocade Blue. This color combo totally takes me back to the late 80's/early 90's -- my then-boyfriend's parents/now-in-laws' house was totally done in these colors. They've moved on to a beige and black color scheme these days, but working on this challenge took me on a little stroll down memory lane...
Anyway, the image was watercolored with WWCs on watercolor paper. The fibers were wrapped around a strip of brocade blue. I thought distressing the edges of the image and mats would give it a warmer feel, like the texture of a fuzzy sweater. Did a little paper tearing at the bottom for added depth.
