Killing two birds (oooh... bad cliche to invoke, considering my image!!!) with one stone with this card -- this week's Limited Supply Challenge (#108: make a gender neutral baby card) and Ways To Use It Challenge (#105: use glossy cardstock). Also, I saw the awesome shadowbox tutorial by Dawn Griffith and had to try one.
The background was made on glossy cardstock using the shaving cream method and Cool Carribean re-inker. Witzy is floating on a cloud of liquid applique and mounted with 3-D dots. He/She is colored with Prismas & Gamsol. I used the Basic Grey Notch & Die Cutting Tool to make a little notch to attach the picture hanger. The sentiment was made using Paper Salon's Cutie Patootie alphabet set. The front is Barely Banana stamped with the Linen background in Cool Carribean.
I bought this Suzy's Little Zoo stamp on clearance at Michael's the other day because I love that sweet little duck and it reminded me of Carolyn/Cammie and all of the cute cards that she makes. We are the founding members of the super-exclusive Carol/Fan Club and Mutual Admiration Society (you have to go through a very stringent screening process to apply for membership, followed by a grueling pledgeship and harrowing initiation process. PM me if you're interested!). So this one is for her!
