Last summer, I volunteered to make and send birthday cards to the teachers at my children's school on behalf of the PTA Executive Board. (WHAT was I thinking?!?! LOL ) This is what I came up with for one of our young male teachers. He's a big fan of the University of Virginia teams, so I used the school's orange and navy colors.
For the U, I inked the stamp with Only Orange, then sponged Night of Navy directly onto the edges of the U before stamping it on Whisper White. After I cut it out, I added a little more Night of Navy to the edges.
It's hard to tell in the scan, but the orange mat was stamped with the Just Jeans background.

I thought it was Gator colors but I see now it's navy blue. UF uses a royal blue! Should be popular colors in a few days when they play for the National Championship! Woo Hoo! Cool card, though. Good for you, making all those cards. I know it's a lot of work but I know the teachers appreciate a supportive parent group.
