This was a grand experiment and kind of fun! I made the background papers from a close-up photo I took of some leaves. I changed the photo to B&W and then changed the grey tones to different colors and printed each color version onto cream cardstock. Since my printer wasn't working all that well and left nasty streaks in the images, I also spattered and edged the background panels with distress ink to minimize the steaking.
I colored the leaf image with colored pencils and blended with OMS.
