....to make you feel like crap about what you do!
I was pumped that I finally got the time and guts to try and CASE this card from the catty -- took me two hours to make two, and when I showed my mom, she just stared at it for like a minute, then said "It's.... pretty."
Yeah. Real convincing, mom!
Oh well. I'm not showing her cards anymore!!!

I love the colors you chose!
--My mom does that to me all the time! I don't show her cards anymore either. --Tell your mom "hey, if you bought this in a store, it would cost you at least $6!"

It's gorgeous...don't take it personally. A lot of people who don't stamp don't really get it. To them, they don't see the time it takes to make a handmade card. It's just easier to go to Hallmark...send it to someone who would be thrilled to have it ;) ME!

Your CASE is absolutely gorgeous! A word or two about the non-supportive Mom issue. My very talented stamping mentor has a mom who gets insulted receiving hand-stamped cards rather than purchased ones. Also, my own daughter, who is my greatest cheerleader, doesn't always have the same taste in style that I do and won't "appreciate" a card that took me hours. My advice is to listen to the ladies on SCS and internalize the positive. Perhaps mom will recognize your talent and art one day, but we recognize it already! (Your beautiful card is already in my Favorites file.)
