The background paper was made with shaving cream paper and SU Ballet Blue ink. The butterfly was stamped and embossed on velum paper and colored on the reverse side with colored pencils to achieve the stained glass look.

This is a very messy technique, but the results are worth it. When I first learned it, I wouldn't do it without latex gloves. Back then, I didn't want ink on my hands. Now I have ink on me all the time!!!!
