Here's a slightly different twist on this technique. I used regular SU WWhite paper, stamped on it using the 'roses in winter' rose, put my sticky transparency on top and continued with the soaking and rolling. The result is really cool! The transparency picked up the ink really well and I could match my colors .

I stamped the petal prints flowers and a non SU flower on a transparency, then cut them out. Then I ran them through the xyron machine. Then I stamped a rose using the RIW set and stuck the sticky part of the transparency flowers down onto the rose. Then I cut loosely around the rose and soaked the whole thing in a dish of water. After it was good and saturated, I used my finger to roll away almost all of the paper, leaving the ink behind on the transparency. I let it dry and then I could stick the funky flowers down onto the dots and flowers I had stamped. Check out the tutoral at the beginning of this challenge, it may explain better than I was able to.
