I designed this as a sympathy card. I stamped the flourish in Guava on the card base, then overstamped with Very Vanilla Craft ink. I also stamped the flourish in Vanilla on vellum and heat set the ink with my heat gun.
I then created the crest using the Faux Metal technique. I think the powder really showcases the detailing of the flower beautifully.
I think the River Rock cs looks pretty neat put against Mellow Moss.
To make the flower crest, I pourred a bit of powder on a leftover piece of cardstock. I used the lid to flatten the powder in a circle big enough to fit the stamp in. I heated the powder FROM UNDERNEATH (very important step - you don't want the powder to go flying everywhere!) until it was completely melted and I immediately pressed the flower in the melted powder. I let it set, took the stamp out, and voilà ! I could have cut it all the way around, but I decided to leave it as is, as it reminds me of an old letter sceal and I like that look.
