I had so much fun making my card inspired by the Radiant Plumbing Website. To create the mosaic effect (without cutting lots of little pieces of paper), I used a variation of the grid technique. For the grass, I scored every 1/4" and then inked it with lime pastel ink. I cut the grass free hand keeping it all connected along the bottom.
I used the same technique on the flower stems but cutting them out and then scoring the grid lines before inking. The blooms were a bit too tiny to score, so I created faux grid lines using a white opaque pen on colored paper. I added leaves and gems, a stamped butterfly from Fancy Pants, and a thank you sentiment from Green Grass Stamps to finish the design.

What a beautiful card! And what a great challenge. I probably would have leaned toward your approach, so hopefully I'll be inspired with another slant.
Your challenges are always fun, although I rarely post. Thanks so much.
