My next door neighbor just had a new baby, 3 months premature, which means it's not so much a good thing. My daughter was born the same way 2 years ago and I know that Cynthia is torn.. part of her is happy her daugher is born, but most of her is scared and guilty. I wanted to make her a card to welcome the baby, but to also convey my concern for her and her little daughter.
I had the striped/floral paper and I thought it would be a good match for a new baby, so I started to put it together with today's DD sketch. I got a little carried away and added the bling simply because it matched. As soon as the card was all put together I sat back and realized that the bling completely took away from what I was trying to say, so this card will be put away and I'll have to make another.
Oh, the one thing I am proud of is the ovals. I do not have any machine/system to cut them, so I had to do them by hand. They are a little wobbly but only if I look closely!
thanks for looking!

it really is adorable.. maybe for the next little girl that comes along. Happens to me alot... the getting carried away. I, now, lay my 'elements' out on my cardstock to get a preview of the finished results. And your ovals....look great! I wouldn't have known you handcut them!
