I was inspired by the welcoming front porch and knew I had this stamp I thought I could make work. I used the distressed stripes cb for my "siding", cut out a picture of a door from a Lowe's Door Catalog. I used my CB die cuts for the lattice and gingerbread trim. I had to stamp the image 3 times to get enough porch floor to go all the way across and also to get a second "pillar". Cutting out all the bushes and greenery that is behind the porch on the actual stamp took some time but the end result is at least the right idea.
Thanks for looking and even if I'm not totally happy with this it was fun to play again after missing so much of this month's challenges!

I would love to have a front porch just like that - complete with the rockers. I love all the elements of this card. You certainly put lots of work into it and it was so worth it. Great job and tfs.

WOW!
This is so creative... I would have never thought to use a door from a magazine...very cool!
Between you and Carol7033 I will have to come over to set on the porch and have a tall glass of lemonade!

Absolutely fantastic!!!! So many wonderful details...I can see nothing it lacks!!! Terrifically creative!!! Have I gushed enough? I'm in awe of this...especially as you did it with grandchildren present. Mine was also done with the grandchild factor and it took most of the day!!!! Of course, she is only five months old today and not ready for stamping....but give me some time and she will be!!! Bet yours will be too!!! Hope you enjoyed your special time with those precious grandchildren...I know I did!!!

Grace this is fantastic. I love the front door. Who would have thought of that. You did such a beautiful job. I love these old houses with the awesome big porches. They must have spent so much time out there sipping lemonade and iced tea. I miss you in the gallery. Come back soon...
