Summer apples are coming on. Get the cobbler pan ready. Roll the piecrust. Simmer the apple butter. Enjoy the bounty.
The edge of the vellum envelope flap is decorated with Stickled butterflies. The Swiss dot bumps (embossed in, not out) reminded me of apple skin texture.
The first pile of apples on this card had white gel pen highlights where there is now Bravo ink. When I photographed the white it looked like the butterfly had left the apples full of larvae. Oops. Pulled off those maggoty apples and subbed these with the russet streaksÂ… a little more appetizing.

Mmmmmm...the cobbler sounds yummy!!! My dad always made cobblers from whatever fruit was in season while I was growing up!!! That could be the reason for my tendency toward roundness!!!! Your card is so cute...love those green apples and the pretty papers you used!!!

Ok, I read your card description and now my mouth is watering!! lol This is such a nicely made card, and I love your repeated saying down the side of the image. Love the colors and theme. Apples are my favorite fruit, esp Cortlands in October! TFS!
