This is for Mothermark's Teapot Challenge week 3. http://mothermark.blogspot.com/2008/...tuesday-3.html
And also another entry for the TLC this week, Got Grid.
The colours of the teapot inspired me - and if you had a teapot like that, you might have a shelf like this in the kitchen, and you might use this cup and jug. I don't think I've ever made them full size before, I've always done them on shrink plastic and used them on ATCs.
The base card is dark navy, bit hard to tell that.
The grid was scored with diamonds rather than squares, and stamped with a little flower and leaves from Flourishes. I chalked the grid with light grey chalk just to bring it out.
The shelf is a piece of brown card which I textured with the Fiskars Woodgrain texture plate. I scored a line just a tiny bit down from the top, so that it stands up a bit from the card like a real shelf, and the cup and jug are on the thickest foam tape I have, so that they look as if they are sitting on the shelf. The cup and jug are stamps from Joanna Sheen, and are stamped with Brilliance Mediterranean Blue.
I trimmed the grid piece, and then used a silver pen to outline the shape, and stamped silver flowers in the bigger blanks on the base card.

I love your creative little shelf! How fun to combine the two challenges and end up with this awesome little card! Your little dishes so remind me of my mom's blue and white *everyday* dishes growing up. Awesome card and I am so glad you played!! Giggle!
