So glad to be back on SCS!!! I have not had cable tv or the internet, gasp, for two whole days! I was going crazy! No SCS!!! It was so bad that I was walking around the backyard with my laptop hoping to connect to the neighbors signal, but no such luck. So......I called my sister to see what the Monday TCL was and since I couldn't view anyone's take on the challenge, this card was done cold turkey! Sorry it's late!.....
I had seen a darling Penny Black stamp of a dog with slippers on. Found out it is a retired stamp that is no longer available. I tried to find one, believe me, but to no avail. So, I decided to put a couple of stamps I had to use to create my version of it. This is how it turned out.
Stamped the dog on white cs. Colored with re-inkers. Cut out using my oval coluzzle. did the dot doodles around the edges. I cased these dots from this card LSC171 by merniebug at Splitcoaststampers
done by merniebug. Stamped, colored and cut out the bunny slippers. Popped up two of them. Stamped the fire hydrant, clear eb it, added a dew drop and popped it up.
For the bg I took some dp, scored the bricks then lightly sanded them. The sidewalk was white cs, ran through the dotted swiss cb, then scored lines for each section and sponged distress ink over it. Frame, scored white cs, cut out using colozzle then sponged ginger all around.
Put this all on a white card that I sponged edges with sailboat blue and added the doodles. Not sure where I came up with the sentiment, but not having internet messes with my thinking ability! LOL TFL :0)

I must say this is the nicest all-in-one display of scoring I have seen! Your scored bricks are just perfect! I love all the colors and combination of images!

Cathy, you are killing ME!!! First, you used to build houses (I had trouble hanging a picture!!), you sewed your own *pleated*drapes, ski jackets, numerous quilts, etc (you had to help me *put my sewing machine together* - turned out only needed to be plugged into the wall). Then I get you into card making and you are awesome. You take your clipboard and *sketch* your ideas from nature as you are cleaning and *repairing* people's pools. But NOW you are a writer and comedian. I couldn't stop laughing this morning. What is next!!! Now to your card....WOW WOW. GRRRRREAT card. Your grid is perfection and your dog with slippers is a hoot!! Awesome coloring as usual. Really fun card!! Thanks for sharing.....glad you are my sister. It is like being a relative to Martha Stewart/McGiver.....but even better!
Hugs,
Connie Jo
