I made this for Faith's Flourishes challenge from last week.
The logistics were horrendous - last time I wanted to try the image transfer technique I gave up after trying at least 6 shops looking for clear packing tape. They all only had the manky brown one.
Anyway, I used a stamp from Flourishes.
It's reminded me of embroidery ever since I saw it, so for the image I took a couple of photos of one my crewel embroideries. After I had got the image on tape, I stuck it onto a sheet of card which was stamped with a Hero Arts Italian script stamp in light purple. Then I punched out some circles.
I stamped the main image with Staz-On and coloured it with Twinkling H2Os. I stamped it again onto a piece of watercolour paper, and coloured just the berries ? and the outer row of petals, and layered the bloom up onto it. It's stuck down to the underneath panel at the bottom of the calyx and up on foam at the petals. Each petal is tipped with a little flat-back pearl.
I sponged the edges of the panel with Versamark and embossed them with gold EP. I did the same with a little sentiment. I wrapped some black organza ribbon round the bottom and added a bow.
I used one of those little spiral clips that I never know what to do with at the top corner, and stuck the whole panel down with foam onto some gold card.
For the little circles, in spite of extreme tiredness I remembered NOT to try heat-embossing the edges, so I just wiped them with a bit of Staz-On for definition. I crocheted a length of fine gold wire and ran this down the back of the 3 circles. At the bottom I made a little tassel with some black bugle beads, little pearl beads and some extra wire, and I attached all this to the other end of the spiral clip. The idea is it's meant to be a bit like those old Victorian embroidered bell-pulls.
I was quite happy with it but I don't think my DH liked it. He asked did it still need something added to it

You Irish are such troupers! Love your tenancity and your card. Despite all your difficulties, you still managed to create an extraordinary card. It's beautiful.
