This is a card I made today as a friend of ours died last night after battling cancer. He has left behind a young family, his eldest son is my eldest son's best friend.
I have been upset and unable to think of anything original so I looked through some cards and came across a card by the great Michelle Zindorf and based my card on hers. The card layout and colours are exactly the same, my additions are the moon and rather than using trees in the foreground I chose to use the boat from Set Sail and shaded it in black.
Our friend worked on the water for his career and for his hobby until he became too ill.

As a nurse, I had the opportunity to work with many people battling cancer; it was especially tough when the person was young and/or had children. I think that your card is particularly touching, and will be appreciated and remembered for a long time.

I am so sorry. Your card is beautiful and will bring comfort to his family. I just made a sympathy card being inspired by MZ.
This family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry you've lost your friend. His family is blessed to have you in their lives; to help them thru this difficult time. Beautiful, peaceful card!
