| I made this card for Gina K's newest challenge following a sketch she posted. I used her sketch, but turned it a different way. I stamped the ice cream stamp from her set "How Sweet It Is" with Vintage Sepia Versafine ink on Basic Grey paper several times on several colors. I cut out various pieces of the ice cream in different colors and paper pieced it together on the off-white piece that I die cut using an oval Nestability die. I added red sparkle gel pen to the cherry and dimensional glaze to the chocolate sauce adding a sprinkle of micro beads as sprinkles. The spoon was colored in with a silver gel pen. I outlined the ice cream and spoon with a Cold Stone Prismacolor marker. I then used Antique Linen Distress ink to shade the edge of the oval. I then die cut a red scallop oval from Nestabilities. I attached the two ovals together as shown. Next I cut and attached a piece of Basic Grey Cupcake DP to cover the entire front of the card. I folded the right top corner down and added a piece of sprinkles DP on the folded corner using a red brad to secure it. I used the Antique Linen to shade the top right corner of the card that was exposed. I stamped the word "sweet!" with Vintage Sepia Versafine ink in the corner of the card at an angle. I then cut a strip from the same red Basic Grey paper and attached to card down the middle as shown. I next cut a strip of sprinkle paper and attached it to the red strip. I attached to ovals on top of the strips as shown. This was a fun sketch. |
