I am having major problems with this quarter round molding, mitrebox and hand saw. ;-( HELP! This room is only 9'x 9' and it has taken me 1 1/2 days to do get the angles right for this little bit of molding. I haven't even started trying to use the hammer to nail the stuff to the floor boards.
HELP! LOL

My hint for you is use a small drill bit and pre drill all your holes in the molding first then hammer the nails part way until they are just coming out of wood (have a scrap piece of wood under neith when doing this so you don't damage whatever is under neith) Then put your molding against the wall ans hammer the nail the rest of the way. This will save you a ton of energy and fustration.

Our carpenter coped (may be spelled wrong) the corners on all of our crown molding and chair rail that he did recently for us! It looks like it is mitre but is much simpler to do. May you could "google" it and find some instructions on how to do it!!
