For yesterday's challenge for a summer themed limited supply card, I kept thinking about one of my favorite things about summer... the smell of fresh cut grass. But the trouble was that I couldn't figure out how that translated into a card. Then when I saw one of today's inspiration wedding cakes, the one with the layered circles, I had it.
I have a leaf shaped punch which I almost never use so I had to find it first. I used it to punch out several leaves out of old olive, garden green, and wild wasabi. I used my versamark pen to put some veins onto the leaves and then layered them onto the chocolate chip base. I wrapped it in the wide grosgrain OO ribbon, added the flower from cause from celebration... I know a brown flower seems odd but I love the way it looks. I added a single brad to the corner and some white dots along the top.
I know it's not quite grass, which is where I started, but to me summer is also leaves so I'm happy with it.
Thanks for looking!

This is brilliant. (started to type simply brilliant, but there is nothing simple about this beauty) I love the layered leaves, the flower and the ribbon. Awesome work!
