I made this for today's SC183. I had been playing around with this little bird last night, so he fitted into the sketch. He reminds me of one of Laura Ingalls Wilder's books (can't remember which one) where Ma tells a story to the girls, drawing on a slate. It starts with two little tents, I think and people walking up to a lake, and at the end the drawing looks like a bird.
I stamped the petals in black and embossed them with clear EP. Although I did two petal ones for the wings, I was actually able to fit them both out of just one :-). The first one was trimmed down from the pointed end, and I was able to cut around it again at the rounded end. The beak and eye were cut/punched from the Pheobe paper and coated with Glossy Accents, and because he is so glossy, I used a Sakura Glaze pen to draw his legs and head and tail feathers. I also went over the flower with the Sakura pen.
All edges were sponged with ColorBox Pigment Merlot. I used that for stamping the flower that is under the left-hand panel, too. I used the ticket corner punch and two dew-drops on the left-hand corners.
