I wanted to make a little something for one of my son's therapists, who's also become a very dear friend of mine. (She even stamps!) So, I saw today's color challenge -- wild wasabi, purely pomegranate and certainly celery -- and thought I'd use it with one of MFT Present's newest Annie LaPoint images -- Be Calm -- to create a little label for this jar of bath salts. So simple, but it'll let her know we appreciate her.
I'm not sure if you can tell from the photo, but I glued clear tiny glass beads near the shower head and onto the flowers to appear as if the shower was running. The image was colored using texasjodylynn's 'Drunken Watercolor' technique (using alcohol and reinkers to paint with) and Copic Sketch markers. The flower petals also have a light dusting of Oyster Art Glitter.
The jar is by Libby and I picked it up at Micheal's today for around $3.00. Inside of it is about a box and a half of Calgon bought from the grocery store next door to Michael's. It's called 'English Garden' and comes in a pink box, so I was hoping it would be pink to better match the color scheme. No such luck! Oh, well!
My Favorite Things will be hosting a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday night (July 2nd) 9-11pm EST EASTERN time. July marks MFT's 2nd birthday AND Kim's 40th birthday, so there are LOTS of discounts and deals this month in addition to all the MFTeasers and your chance to become MFTÂ’s next Guest Designer! Check out the MFT forum for all the details!
Thanks for looking!

The first thing I saw was the running water and was wondering what you used! Little beads! Perfection! This is so cool, it will be such a nice thoughtful gift!
