Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Lover's Challenge: Chalk Pouncing!
Today, Speedy the Cat was very angry with me...You see, I was ignoring him and his stash of stamps under our bath mat....So, he bit my tushie! Markie was laughing so hard, he started a coughing fit that sent ALL the cats into hiding, EXCEPT Speedy the Cat! So, as I scolded both Markie and Speedy the Cat, I realized I wasn't hurt, but Speedy the Cat's feelings were.
So, off to check under the bath mat! There were 8 Flourishes sets and a BOX of Bandaids! WHAT???
AH HA!!!! I forgot to make a Get Well Card for Jan, one of the owners of the Flourishes. (She had minor surgery Friday, and I totally blanked on sending a card!) Leave it to Speedy the Cat to remember Jan! He loves Jan. When I talk to her on the phone he goes nuts! LOL!
The card was made using the Chalk Pouncing technique.
This is how I did it:
Take a dauber and rub into chalk. Rub paper with dauber to acheive intense hue. I continued to re-chalk the dauber. This took a bit of time. (This was the background which is Taken with Teal.)
Take punched scallop and gum eraser and ERASE around sections of the scallop to acheive clouds, while moving the scallop around the paper.
Stamp image in VersaMark.
Use Dauber and pounce chosen colors around image. Erase unwanted color with GUM eraser.
Add highlights with Inkssentials pen.
I stamped the Soft Sky panel with Flourishes Damask in Taken with Teal.

Wow! This is sooooo lovely. I love that bleeding heart image! You got such wonderful intense and bright colours! It's really lovely.
PS I have to say that I think I saw one of your cards like years ago and loved the dots and started doing it on the odd card. Then I couldn't get on SCS because I never had internet access and forgot about my dotty inspiration. I think the dots can be just the perfect finish to a card edge that looks a bit naked - like it needs something!
Thanks for the inspiration and your card is to die for!
