Oh my! I'm sorry I forgot to come back to this and post directions. Here they are:
Post-It Pad Cover
compiled by Marcia Howell
1 piece cardstock 7.5"x3.75" for cover
1 piece contrasting cardstock 3 1/8"x 6 7/8" as liner
regular adhesive
strong adhesive like E6000 glue or Terrifically Tacky Tape
Optional: 3"x3" white cardstock if using dark cardstock for cover, eyelets, ribbon
Read the Options Section First! Some directions may change if you use the options.
On the 7.5"x3.75" cardstock score lines 1/4" around all the edges.
Measure up 3" from score line on the 3.75" wide side and score. Then measure ½? from that line and score again. This is the spine of the cover. Using scissors, cut the 4 corners of the cover at a diagonal, using the score lines as a general guide. This is to cut out bulk and make “mitered? corners.
If stamping the cover, stamp it now on one side. If your cover is too dark and you’re using the 3"x3" piece, stamp it instead. Don’t adhere it yet.
Glue the liner to the cover.
Fold all the scored edges in and adhere them to the liner using the strong adhesive.
Re-score the 2 lines that form the spine of the cover so the liner would now be scored as well as the outer piece.
Remove the backing sheet of the post it and put the pad in.
Options:
• At this point you can put the 3"x3" stamped cardstock on the front.
• Put the eyelets in the cover piece only and put the ribbon between the liner and the cover. Or you can put the eyelets in after glueing in the liner and let the ribbon show.
