This is my first go at at a tilt card - it's been on my to-do list since the tutorial went up.
I bought this set because I loved what Markie's Mom had done with it, and a couple of other cards I'd seen too. And I think of of the flowers reminds me of crewel and tapestry, which I do. But when it came, it's one of the few times I thought I'd made a big mistake. I wondered about keeping it unused and giving it as a gift...but today I broke it out for this.
I stamped the big flower and all the little ones, and the stems, onto watercolour paper with Versafine Olympia Green, and also spare images onto a scrap of paper. I coloured them all with Twinkling H2Os, and followed the tutorial to make the tilt mechanism. I used Making Memories brads in the centres of them all. Because the stem for the big one didn't reach the bottom of the page, and I couldn't line it up to make it longer so I was happy with it, I punched a little pot out of a scrap of crimped brown paper. The sentiment was stamped with Brilliance Sunshine Yellow, and the edges of the sentiment and the main panel were both sponged with Brilliance Thyme, and then gone over with a clear Sakura Stardust pen. I also drew little *movement* lines over each petal with the Stardust, and then I lightly chalked it all with some blue chalk. I added a little silver holographic punched butterfly from my scrap box just to fill the top left corner.
