The challenge today was to be inspired by the State Fair Bedding picture.
To me this picture screamed calico texture and the colours chocolate, blue, red and white and also I noticed the red stitching on some of the pillows and sheets. That was what I was inspired by and tried to recreate.
I started by using a single faux postage stamp stamp and using my stampamajig I linked three together and then repeated the process to create a mask which I then cut the center out of and laid on top of my main panel. I stamped the butterfly and masked it. I sponged on tempting turquoise over everything. Next I punched out the small butterflies and positioned them where I wanted them and sponged over everything with taken with teal lightly. I puched 3 small ovals, potitioned them and then sponged more heavily with taken with teal. I punched the larger ovals and laid them over the small ones and then sponged over everything with brilliant blue. Then I removed all but the bas mask and coloured the butterlies with Tombows 761, 815, 847 in that order and removed the base mask to cut out my main panel. And then I hit a snag 't find my postage stamp and couldn't find my postage stamp scissors and had to make due with heart beat but it looks not too bad so that was OK. I used the stampamajig again to stamp the flower background with tombow 847 onto purely pomegranate paper. I layered that onto whisper white and onto a brilliant blue base. Next I stamped diamond plate background from CHF with chocolate chip ink onto chocolate chip paper and layered that onto my flower layer. I placed the ribbon and then stamped the sentiment (Micheals $1.50 stamp) onto whisper white, cut it out and postioned it. Last I placed my Bella bling droplets onto the card and finished with burgundy stickles.
This was a very challenging card to make but I enjoyed doing it and hope you like my interpretation of the challenge.

Your postage image is beautifully done. I like the long card style you've used and the added stitching is a very nice touch. The diamond plate bg. gives your brown layer a lovely stitched and textured look. Your time was well worth the effort.

Wow, I can see all the time and attention and care that went into this card. Those butterfly postage stamps are just gorgeous! I love all your little details, too. Thanks for playing!
