When I pictured this card in my head I didn't think about how I was going to measure the triangles. I had cut my base and black layer and then sat there absolutely stumped as to how I was going to cut the triangle pieces. In the end I had to reach WAAAYYY back to the pythagorean theorum (sp?) to figure it out. Now I can tell my 8th grade algebra teacher that he was right, I really *did* have to use that stuff in real life!
Once I figued it out the rest went pretty quickly! Thanks for looking!
Kathryn
Later edit:
By the way, incase you wondered how the math turned out... in order to make a 5" square, I needed the diagonals of my triangles to be 3.5", so I made 4 3.5" squares and cut them from corner to corner. voila!

super cool...I am too lazy (and rusty in math) to do Pythagoren theory, I would make 4 cards and cut squares the different sizes and then cut the triangles, lol. Great bold card!

Wow. Great card
I only vaguely remember the algebra (oh heck, I only kinda remember high school in general!). I doubt if I could have used the formula to figure out the Math!
