I am still finding my way around the uploading process....I was able to take a better picture, or at least get it out of the camera, but had to delete the whole thing, so here I am re-uploading this card....
This was for the way to use it Ric Rac challenge. I wanted to sew the ric rac on with my machine - I've finally gotten my desk area cleared off enough to get the machine out - but couldn't find red thread spool, just bobbin. So it is hand-stitched. The snap is fun; I found a bunch of old-styled snaps in my husband's grandmother's sewing box that we have. You may be seeing more of them on my cards....my only concern is that the cardstock won't hold the little teeth, and they'll come apart.
For the ladybug shell, I used vanilla paper, and sponged really rust and real red, then stamped the spots on. The antenna are thin strips of paper cut and held on with dimensionals.
The inside of the card has a pocket in it for a gift card, or a note so that it can be used again without having to sign it! I love giving people blank cards, and I always encourage them to pass them on!
