My oldest daughter and I like to go to the Cox Arboretum to take photos of the flowers and butterflys. These outings were the inspiration I used to create her Birthday card. The pink, blue and green background was done with the smackin' acetate technique. The flowers and grass were done with the misting with markers technique and repetative stamping using the flowers from Close as a Memory and the grass stamp from watercolor garden. The little dragonfly was stamped in with elegant eggplant. I used 140 pound cold pressed watercolor paper and just held the stamps in place a little longer to give the paper time to absorb the color. I also used a blender pen in the grass area to even out the color and and add in a little yellow highlights. Finished card 5x7. Thanks for looking.
