As soon as I saw this challenge, I knew I wanted to try my hand at a treasure chest. My 4 yo dd has a t-shirt that says "Mommy's little treasure" and she likes to go around and sing this to herself. So this card is for her and will probably hold a few coins from the house fairy the next time she cleans her room! Which hopefully will be soon, with some gentle prodding.
I used a 5 1/2 by 9 sheet of paper, and folded it at 3" and 7 1/4" so it is standard size. It works like a gate card, but I put sticky strip on the bottom to hold it in place so only the lid opens.
The lines are sponged using a scrap paper and post-it note. First I sponged the horizontal using the scrap, and then the vertical using the scrap and the post-it. (masking)
The HPH is colored gold with a ZIG painty, and the dots also. I also added small dots with a chocolate chip SU marker. The sentiment is hand-written.
Fun challenge!

This is absolutely adorable- so clever and such a sweet treat for your daughter. Love the hardware closure and ribbon.
