I'm combining 2 challenges today, and I'm so sad this stamp set will be retiring! I'm sure SU! will replace it with something wonderful....
The cards are the same layout as pg36 in the catalog.
The black piece is scored randomly all over, and the raised side is shown.
For the large snowflake, I first stamped it in Basic Black, then again with versamark and embossed in white. I sponged some soft sky over the snowflake and around for shading. On the card to the right, I tried sponging with Basic Black on the bottom, but it turned out a little purple.....would staz-on be a truer black?
After the cards were stamped, I sprayed them with Pearl-Ex (super copper) and water.....then sprayed them with hairspray to set it. They curled up and I had to dry them with a hairdryer and flatten them back out....oh the things we go through for these challenges!hahahahah
The button on the left is actually from a gardening label tag that you can write on with a wooden stick, so very thin and pliable. I punched out 2 pieces, layered them, poked holes and threaded them with quilting thread. The cord is retired copper, and the Joy oval was stamped and embossed with white EP, then covered with versamark and brushed with super copper Pearl-Ex.
The card on the right had Joy stamped and embossed in white, and the ribbon is white tafetta. The button is a SU neutrals....
This was a fun challenge, and a beautiful color pallete to work with! Thanks for looking!

Did you cut out those snowflakes?! I know you said that you stamped in black and embossed, but I see a shadow and wondered if you cut and popped them? Cause it you did you get a standing O for the cutting, these cards are just spectacular!!!!!

schirmcat, no snowflakes were harmed by cutting in this card.....I stamped the snowflake in black, then cleaned the stamp (so this is not a good stamp camp card), and stamped it again in versamark just a little off to the side....then embossed with the white. The black looks like a shadow for the white. Then I sponged the whole thing with soft sky....it really is easy....probably took me longer to type it than do it!LOL
