for the color challenge of kraft, black and soft sky. I did not use my gold paint pen to edge, I used black marker instead since this is a sympathy card.
I inked up the main image in soft sky then thumped my black marker on it. I used kraft and stamped off black soot to do the background layer. I did not want a speck of cheeriness on this card. I think I succeeded.

This is a wonderfully subdued sympathy card! I love your background and the look you have achieved with the thumping technique. I have never tried that before, but I will have to give it a go!
