Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combo Challenge: Kraft or Creamy Caramel...(I used Creamy Caramel, I'm out of Kraft!), Soft Sky and Basic Black!
OMGosh, I almost fell of my chair...How in the world was I going to use Basic Black??? LOL! Just kidding...I use it almost every day! LOL!
Today's stamp choice was made by Spittie Kittie...He brought the image into me and put it on my FACE while I was dozing last night! LOL! Markie was giggling like a maniac! (We were watching "Cars" in my room, with 6 cats as company!LOL! I think Owen Wilson's voice interests them.... They also like, "Starky and Hutch" and "Shanghai Nights!" (These star Owen Wilson too, in case you didn't know! LOL!)
I stamped Octavia the Ostrich in Basic Black and stamped her on Creamy Caramel for the base. I then stamped her on SU! Soft Sky designer paper in Basic Black. On the Creamy Caramel, I used tone on tone marker to color and outline. On the dp, I used Soft Sky re-inker.
The body was done by stamping the image in VERSAMARK onto black card stock. I embossed it in white and cut out the areas to layer. (I HAD to emboss in white, as I wanted the wing pieces to show! LOL!)
I added Signo pen highlights to the eye.
The ovals and layers were HEAVILY sponged. (This means: I sponged over the areas AT LEAST 15 times each! This is how I achieved the DARKer tones.)

Love it!!! Fab as usual. The image is adorable and I think the creamy caramel worked well for you on this card. I pictured it with the Kraft and I don't think it would be nearly as striking. Of course, if you did it, it would look great!
