The challenge was to use a shimmer spray. I have never used this technique before. I made my spray mixture in a little Ranger mini mister using alcohol, Interference red Pearl Ex powder and 2 drops of Ranger distress ink peeled paint re-inker. I used glossy card stock and brayered it in barley banana. I misted it, holding it downward just to get the bottom half of the page with my shimmer. I sprayed it with hairspray to set the shimmer and dried it with my heat gun.
After that I stamped the green fern from Touch of Nature, again I dried it with the heat gun. I stamped the flowers in Brown Staz-on and added white gel paint to add a little color to the flower tips. I used my dry Pearl Ex on a small sponge to add shimmer to the butterflies. The little copper HOPE sentiment is from Walmart.

Wow! Cerinda this is stunning! I love how much shimmer you achieved! The butterflies really pop, and the images shine shine shine! I didn't get to play as I didn't have the pearls, etc but now I might have to go shopping! This is gorgeous!

This is such a wonderful card. Uses colors I don't normally use. Thanks for the info on how you did it. That makes it easier to try. Your shimmer is terrific. Really shows up in the photo. Nice job...
