I knew that I would use this smiling sun from Inque for the cards, but this color combo was not at all what I initially had in mind. I have been stuck in a rut lately, so when I found this striped DP at the dollar store, I just went with the colors in it.
I wanted to use a *sunnier* EP color for the image but the red embossing tinsel gave the best contrast on the pumpkin cardstock. It is nice and sparkly IRL.
The turquoise panel is dry embossed with the D'Vine Swirls EF, and layered red and white ribbons cover the seam to the DP layer. I popped up the main image square on foam dots. I do wish I had added brads or something to the corners, though.
The finished cards are bright and cheery like a sunny day at a summer carnival, and I hope the swap recipients like them. Thanks for looking! What do you think?

Very pretty and colorful card!
I like how the swirls of the sunrays matched well w/the swirls of the embossed b/g...
I would be very pleased if I received one...*wink*
