This is for today’s inspiration challenge. I needed to make a (cat) birthday card for one of my sons today, so I took a look at the challenge and decided to go with the inspiration theme. My inspiration came from colors of the first & third picture & the blocked look of the first. I totally cased the card background from Ally Miles (themilesmum on SCS) showed yesterday on her blog (http://by121w.bay121.mail.live.com/m...?&n=2138265501) . I liked the look and realized I had that paper, so I modeled my background after her card as well as the rounded rectangular panel—the rest is mine though!
I stamped the cat and Meow! in Jumbo Java Versamagic chalk ink and cut them out. I added the little gold diamond dots on the flowers & collar on the kitty. I stamped the brown strip with a $1 flower stamp from MikeÂ’s.
The panel behind the kitty is SU copper paper. I popped up the kitty & the happy birthday panels. Stamped the photo corner with dots from Itty Bitty Backgrounds set & then used Reslly rust to stamp with Linen bg.
Hope my son likes it.
