MoMA is sending Vincent van GoghÂ’s **The Starry Night** for a visit to the Yale University Art Gallery so I assumed there must be room in the Museum of Modern Art for another celestial piece and got right to work on it.
I read the knots requirement for the Ways to Use It Challenge and started to laugh. I reached into my recycling basket and pulled out the spiral of wire I had twisted into a tangled mess (*knot*, if you will) after it didnÂ’t work out for last weekÂ’s wire challenge. Alexander Caulder must be so posthumously proud of me!
There were lots of comments about the SURREAL aspects of working with Real Red, Regal Rose and So Saffron in the color challenge this week; well, as my theme is Modern Art, shading and subtlety need not apply here. I just jammed them together without introducing them to each other through the requisite little polite layers and hue shifts.
So, the final elements? Well MY Starry night, in keeping with the recycled goodies theme, came from the discarded-ceiling-stars pile from back in the day when our daughters loved creating their own starry nights on their ceilings. The acetate sheet seemed to keep the in-your-face quality intact as a base under the elements. Oh, and I did include a Real Red ribbon knot, just in case Jeanne really meant ribbon (and not knotted trash) for the challenge.
p.s. does anyone know the phone number for the acquisitions dept. at MoMA?
p.p.s. yes, I know IÂ’m not van GoghÂ… but I do drive a Wind*STAR VAN* (bwahahaha)

What a fun creative card! I love your recycled knot......or knots! See, why bother trying to untangle stuff like that! I simply love the look of your stars in these creamy colors...They remind me of decorated sugar cookies at Christmas! I love it, very creative and fun!
