This is for this week's way to use it challenge, picture this. A dear friend who I've not seen for several years took this photo and so I decided to use it in a card to send back to her. I would never have had the guts to stand at the edge of a cliff and take a picture of the swirling sea below (those rocks!), but I'm glad she did... I love this picture!
I printed 2 copies of it, and cut 1 into 1/2 inch strips horizontally, and the other vertically. Then I wove my strips back to recreate the full picture. I punched holes along the edge and threaded some black hemp twine through in a blanket stitch.
The colors used are taken with teal, blue bayou and basic gray, with some of the bali breeze DP.
The senitiment was a bit hard to photograph because I embossed it in silver. It is from the friendship blooms set and reads "your friendship makes my heart happy". The sentiment and photograph are both popped up with dimensionals.
Thanks for looking!

Stellar photo and card, especially knowing that you're sending this onto a good friend who happened to be the one taking the photo. She should love it for sure!

This is going into my faves! I love the woven picture effect! How creative, and a breathtaking picture! Great colors, they complement the picture so well!
