After my 1st FS card, my hubby said I *should* have used black brads! What??!! He was teasing...but I told him he could pick a card from the featured gallery, and I would use black brads if he cooked chicken on the grill.
I don't have any Gamsol...frankly, I don't know what it is! I don't have the hydrangea or that same embossing folder...so I went with roses. The rose is wider, so you see less of the eggplant and outside panels. But I used black brads instead of silver...and dinner was wonderful last night!!

I have just discovered what you call in the USA Gamsol- It is a brand name for odourless mineral spirit, available at any good art supplies store. It is used with paper stumps (the better ones are from Taiwan ) I'm sure there is a tutorial on the use ON SCS. I have just started using this for colouring but haven't quite got the knack yet.
Lovely card, and your colouring is great.

Kim beautiful! Thanks for playing
Yes Chriselle is correct. with the gamsol and the paper stumps you use Prismacolored pencils. as they have wax in them. the gamsol melts the wax and you can then spread the color on your paper. It will not work on coated paper. Cheap wal-mart white is good.
if you want to read about this simply go to resoures on top of the page. look for Gamsol
The best stumps are sold in the bulk buys right here on SCS by my friend Ann stampsandcars she is do one this fall.

black brads the perfect touch! bet the chicken was just great..
this is such a pretty card.. wonderful coloring on your roses.
the fun of doing this fs challenge.. is that you can use there design and make your own changes to it... thus.. not needing to have just the same supplies..
way to go.. this is gorgeous!
