Oh, you had the ole brain working this morning, Julia on a wire theme! I have several I want to bring to paper, but in the end you know...TIME fLiEs!!!
I've had this idea in mind for quite awhile...think I saw a stamp somewhere with a bird winging away with a clock and I thought..."I can do that with stamps I have at home"! And that's exactly what I've done. My bird is from Gumbo Graphics (a defunct company, though Stamp Francisco has bought the plates and is pressing rubber again). I stamped the bird twice with Archival sepia and used Copics to color and popped on foam dots. My clock is an unmounted from Invoke Arts. I inked it with Brilliance galaxy gold and used a marker to color in the black numerals and then UTEE'ed the face to minic glass. The bird carries time off with a twist of wire. My background paper is from PaperHouse Monet Water Lilies, which he painted in 1906. I placed time flies in the corner, stamped in black VersaColor and embossed with clear. I distressed my edges and stapled the piece to a navy base. I'm sending this one to my Mom and Dad for their anniversary is Saturday.
I'm flying away for a bit...gotta create another card that must be in the mail today...though it should FLY...I'm guessing the USPS will hoist it on a slow (wagon)train...Thanks so much for your comments...

This IS a creation. I love that the bird is carrying your pocket watch. That Monet paper is awesome. I love Monet. The watch is terrific in the gold with the Utee. Makes it look real. Time really does fly. The older I get the worse it seems. TFS a great card. True meanings......

Susan, what a gorgeous work of art! The shabby chic look is fabulous, and I love the rich colors! What a great idea to use the bird flying away with the clock. Time sure does fly by so fast!
