Hi! This card was made for today's Sketch Challenge!
Speedy the Cat decided to help me this morning...I had the Basic Grey Perhaps paper pad laying on my stamping table last night...This morning, there were Speedy the Cat tooth marks on EVERY PAGE!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRR!!!
So, I had to nab this other Basic Gray paper, instead! I guess Speedy the Cat knew what he was doing, because this color combo really worked!
The Siberian Iris was stamped in Versa Mark and embossed in gold. (I stamped 2 images so that I could layer the center!) I outlined the flower petals in Rose Red marker and used an Aqua Painter to "soften" the outline. Then, I used a Regal Rose marker right over the damp paper and it blended well! (Total surprise!) The leaves were done with Old Olive and Mellow Moss markers.
The circles are Nestibilities.
The top background was stamped with Flourishes' Damask in Rose Red.

So beautifully stunning! Your card designs are soooo distinctive - I don't even need to check the name of the "Poster" - I instantly think to myself "That's Markie's Mom"!
Your designs are inspirational and I'm soooooo jealous! LOL. x
