One of the fun things about doing business with EP is the fun surprises you occasionally discover when opening your orders. This bee image is one of those surprises, and I've finally decided to use it.
I made this for a couple in our Sunday School Class who have not been able to attend in awhile due to a family illness....I think they will enjoy this fun little card. Thanks Daisy, for including this image in one of my orders....it was awhile ago, but I always enjoy them and will try to work on a few of the others soon.
The sentiment is hand printed on the inside and reads: 'We bee-zzz missin' you!'
I colored the image using Copic Markers....most of which I've purchased from EP. I used the 'white' chunky glitter from SU to edge the scalloped main image.
The green and pink dots and the blue stripes on the bees body along with the 'heart' antenna are covered with a Sakura Clear glaze Pen to give added dimension.
There is also a little Copic Clear Glitter Pen used on each of the bee's wings.
The vertical strip of little orange flowers are 'Paper Frills' by Doodlebug Design...also an EP purchase.
And I finally used the Kokuyo Tape 'n' Roller Plus to adhere all of my layers together....I think I am going to enjoy using this adhesive...yet another recent purchase from EP!
All of the cardstock and pattern papers are from a monthly kit subscription I have with Paper Pretties...I have several kits 'waiting' to be used...For this card, the bright and colorful papers Christie included in the kit had a bright and happy appeal, so I felt they would work well for what I wanted to accomplish.
