This is my submission for WT168, All Packed Up. We were to use packing as our theme, and the sky was the limit as to how we interpreted that challenge. I came up with this collage.
I started with unknown brown cardstock as my base, and an unknown marbled tan cs as the background. I stamped this tan cs with a rubbernecker(I believe) stamp in chocolate chip. I stamped the Eiffel Tower Stamp (Stampabilities) in Brillance Black. The Alaska, Seattle, Tacoma Stamp(Tin Can Mail) was stamped in VerasMark and embossed in gold. I stamped the other images (Hampton Arts) in Brilliance Black. I stamped one word "Enjoy" from a Sentiment stamp (Great Impressions) in Close to Cocoa. All images are heavily sponged with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Old Paper, Antique Linen & Weathered Wood.
I cut the luggage from a Cuttlebug DieCut, added travel stickers and handle in differing colors. I used brass stick-ons for the shine and sentiments. I wrapped the luggage in hemp twine because when I go on vacation the thing I do best is SHOP! I always have trouble fitting in the suitcase I came with when going home... most times have to buy more luggage! LOL... hence, I secured this luggage with twine to keep it closed!
I knotted twine to the sentiment panel which I punched out with my slot punch, and taped the twine to the back. Fibers were added for a little more texture.
Now, for a little laugh on me.... if you look closely at the brass luggage sticker "Destination" you will see the reflection of my Gloria Vanderbuilt top, camera and my hand. Took me a little bit to figure out why all that reflective color was in that... then I identified the shirt... LOL!!!
Hope you like it... thanks for looking!

LOL I would have never even noticed had you not pointed it out. It adds a great element to your card and makes it ALL YOU. I love all the travel stuff here. I really like the fiber for dimension. Great card. I have not tried a card like this but have seen so many great ones. This is an exceptional addition to the gallery.

I love your reflection, Grace! That was the first thing I actually noticed...and thought what an interesting pattern wonder how she did that!!! I caught myself in one of my dressing table cards and kind of liked the look! Very nice collage by the way. I like the twine round the luggage and knotted on the bottom, very well done!

Awesome collage! I love all the detail work you put into this! You've used so many neat images! I was actually wondering how you got the effect on the suitcase until I re-read your explanation! LOL, but it looks cool!

Grace this is fabulous. I think it is so funny that we can see you in the one suitcase. Until you pointed it out, I didn't see you. It was what I noticed first though. I was trying to figure out how you got that neat swirl of color on it, with the tan, green and blue. Looks like Susan (One4Joy) and I think alike. I love your suitcase with the twine around it. So funny!
